Dance Research Guide

Listen to Music

You can search for hardcopies of sound recordings in the Library's catalog — and/or browse our physical holdings of CDs and LPs — and borrow them (take 'em with you!) to study / research, use for a project or assignment, or simply enjoy.  You can also listen to physical copies of sound recordings in our Music Listening Area (located in the back of the Library), which includes cassette, LP, and CD players and even some equipment to help you convert one audio format to another (e.g., to reformat an LP to CD, or reformat a CD to audio cassette). Headphones and audio adapters are available at the Library's Circulation Desk.

You can also search and explore the range of streaming audio available to you through some of the Library's subscription databases and/or recommended open-access resources, such as the ones listed below.

Email Performing Arts Librarian, Sam Crawford (scrawford@calarts.edu), for more.
