Book display in CalArts Library featuring Feminist Manifestos edited by Penny A. Weiss

Displays are internal mechanisms for sharing library resources around themes, ideas, and events. Displays are created by CalArts library team members - and display spaces may be limited based on exhibitions. Displays generally consist of library resources (primarily books, films, and music).  All items on display are available to circulate. In the main library, displays are located behind the circulation desk and on the low bookshelves between circulation and the reading room. Displays are generally scheduled for one month at a time. Themes are sometimes related to current courses, events, and topics. Themes can be topical and often coincide with the time of year (holidays, events, happenings).
