Main Library Stacks and Online

The CalArts Library offers a incredibly wide range of resources — from books, eBooks, music scores, and sound recordings, to films, periodicals (journals, magazines, newspapers) and more. Many of these physical items are located in the "main stacks" or the shelving you see in the library.

Distinct Collections

Additionally, CalArts Library has other resources that are kept in Special Collections, Artists' Book Collection, or the Institute Archives. Items in these areas are considered unique and have limited access and do not circulate. Many of the items in these distinct collections are also located in the CalArts Library catalog (feel free to use the search bar below) to get started!
