Using the Library:Library Account

Creating a Library account on WorldCat Discovery

CalArts students who are enrolled full-time, CalArts Faculty, and CalArts Staff have the ability to create a Library Account. Use your library account to keep track of books you have checked out, renew books, request holds, and more!

To set up your account, follow these steps:

• Go to the library catalog.
• Click on "Sign In" next in the upper right corner.
• Click on "Set/Reset Password."
• Enter your CalArts ID number and then click Request New Password. Note: you must include the zero at the beginning of your ID number.
• You will then receive a link in your CalArts email. Follow that link to create or change your password.
• Your library account is now set up!

If you need assistance setting up your account or do not receive a password reset email, please contact a librarian or email libcirc@calarts.edu. 

Connecting to Electronic Resources

Some electronic resources such as databases, eJournals, and articles provided by CalArts Library may require you to log in with your library account password. If you are prompted to login to a page that says CALARTS LIBRARY at the top, you will use your CalArts ID number, with the zero at the beginning, and the password you use to login to "My Library Account."

If you encounter any errors while accessing electronic resources, clear your browser's cache and then refresh the page. If it still doesn't work, contact libref@calarts.edu for help.
