Public Visitors

During the academic year the Library is open to all visitors who are not affiliated with CalArts and are interested in conducting arts-related research or would simply like to browse our library collections. No appointment or permission is needed, unless you wish to meet with a librarian.

During the summer months access to campus is restricted.  If you wish to visit the Library between mid-May and August 31st, please call Circulation at 661-253-7889 to make an appointment.

Please review Circulation Policies for public patrons for checking out materials.

Due to space constraints, the computer lab and group study room are not available for reservations by the public.

Public patrons (Alumni, SCILNET)

Residents of Santa Clarita or students at College of the Canyons or Master’s College may borrow materials on a one-time basis by obtaining a SCILNET (Santa Clarita Inter Library Network) card from a branch of the City of Santa Clarita Public Library or their college library.

CalArts alumni may borrow materials provided they have paid a one time non-refundable $100 library use fee.  Alumni forms can be found at the library circulation desk.
