CalArts Special Collections & Institute Archives

Special Collections serves as a repository of a variety of documents and formats and supports the research activities of students, faculty, and scholars. The collection includes rare books, manuscripts, media, and ephemera. It primarily supports course work and general research within CalArts and therefore the primary subject areas for collection include the visual and performing arts and literature.

All materials in Special Collections are cataloged and may be found searching the CalArts Library Catalog.
