Image Services is the Library's digital imaging center, overseeing the creation, acquisition, management, preservation, and access to digital still and moving image files. Our primary mission is to provide digital images for study, research, teaching, and publication while preserving the Moving Image Collections and other digital initiatives within the Library.
Image Services also has two scanning workstations that can be reserved by CalArts students, faculty, and staff. The Epson 12000XL scanner can be reserved to scan photographic film and reflective materials, while the BookEye 5 can be used to convert books and other text-based materials to PDF format. When requesting an appointment, please specify whether you require training or assistance:
