Film Services Manager

Library Film Services manages the Bijou Theater. The Bijou seats 120.
The Bijou operates primarily during the regular academic year (Fall and Spring semester) and may be scheduled for CalArts classes and some non-class usage. After Class Hours (late evenings during Fall and Spring semester, weekends and summer) cannot be guaranteed.
PLEASE NOTE: MASKS ARE REQUIRED AND FOOD AND DRINKS ARE RESTRICTED FOR ALL AUDIENCE MEMBERS FALL 2022.
Bijou may be scheduled for
Visiting artist / filmmaker screenings sponsored by a faculty or school program.
Faculty, student, staff, or alumni screenings of their work to the CalArts community.
Meetings or other special events for groups larger than 50.
Select screenings that are approved by Library Film Services that require a license or written permission from the copyright holder that augment research, study or another academic purpose.
Screenings other than face to face, classroom presentations with the instructor present are considered a ‘public performance’. Public performance of a film requires that a license and/or the written permission of the copyright holder be obtained. (Classroom Use Exemption to Copyright law (17 U.S.C. §110(1))
