Semester classes

The Bijou Theater can be scheduled for Fall and Spring Semester classes only.

School of Film / Video is given scheduling priority, as the Bijou is their primary multimedia and film projection classroom.

Winter Session is reserved for equipment maintenance and projectionist training between semesters.

Single Class Use

The Bijou Theater may be available for single-class use reservations. Contact the Film Services Manager.

Schools and departments are recharged at the end of the semester for the total hours worked by the projectionist assigned to the class (including material preparation time and soundchecks, when required). 

Notify the Film Services Manager one week in advance if a class is canceled to avoid fees. 

Fees may not be charged to schools or departments if projection or supervision is not needed.

Fees help support the projectionist's pay, supplies, equipment, facilities maintenance, and upgrades.

Semester-long classes

Regular hours: $18.00 - $19.00/hr
Monday–Thursday 9am – 10pm
Friday 9am – 7pm

After hours: $25/hr
Weekends, weekdays after the last scheduled class

Single-use or Individually Scheduled Classes

Since scheduling and coordinating one-off classes is significantly more labor-intensive to support, they are charged at the non-class use rate. 

Regular hours: $25/hr

Monday–Thursday 9am – 10pm
Friday 9am – 7pm

After hours: $35/hr
Weekends, weekdays after the last scheduled class

Pay by internal recharge

Contact your school or department accounting manager to submit the account activity code to the Film Services Manager.  An account activity code is required to confirm the reservation.
